Drugs,booze and vote-and- roll again in Punjab:around hundreds of the coupons – IOUs basically promised rum, whiskey and other liquor to the voters.
VK Singh the Chief Election Officer of the Punjab has planned to see if the voters are trying to trade their votes.

The political parties offering alcohol for the votes , this an election habit that is proved nearly impossible to break. On this weekend around 10,000 bottles were seized by the officials from a old cotton mill near Lambi. From where CM Parkash Singh Badal is contesting against Captain Amarinder Singh . 5,355 bottles of local liquor, 3,480 bottles of beer and 1,306 bottles of IMFL were recovered.
Officials said that Punjab’s voters are being lured with drugs. All the political parties in their manifesto mentioned plans of action to combat drugs. Mr Singh said that in the last few days before the elections we anticipate that distribution of the drugs will increase but we are ready to stop it.
