Yesterday the Election Commission banned exit polls in the all election bound states of the country between February 4 and March 8.
A spokesman of the Election Commission told that Exit polls cannot be conducted as well as publicised by any means of prints and electronic media starting from the February 4, 2017 at 7 AM to March 8, 2017 at 5.30 PM.
He also said that display of any election matter including results of any opinion poll and any other election survey in any electronic media is prohibited during the period 48 hours.
