Chandigarh, March 31: In a notable visit to the Chandigarh Press Club today, Punjab’s Chief Electoral Officer, Sibin C, addressed media members during the club’s annual election of office bearers. He praised the press club’s dedication to a democratic electoral process for its leadership positions. Sibin C highlighted the essential role that the press plays in fostering a transparent, free, and fair electoral environment.
He urged journalists to serve as vigilant observers for the Election Commission, helping to enforce the Model Code of Conduct throughout Punjab effectively. The CEO also encouraged the press to promote the ‘C-Vigil’ app, designed to empower citizens to report any infractions of the election code.
