BJP Sets Up Probe Panel And Embarrassed By Infighting

BJP unit of the Punjab has decided to form a committee to look into the reports of factionalism. The open infighting that has not been reduced even after the end of the assembly election process. The trigger seems to be with the latest incident taking took place at Phagwara where there was an assault on one of the leader and against two groups FIRs was filed.

A meeting was held of state BJP at Chandigarh yesterday, that was also attended by party affairs in charge of Prabhat Jha. State BJP chief Vijay Sampla said that the decision has been taken in principle and the committee would be formed within one or two days.

All the candidates of the assembly polls were invited but many of them did not come at the meeting. Some of the leaders said that they are not happy with state BJP chief Vijay Sampla. And a leader from Phagwara has sent a written complaint to National party president Amit Shah.

The most ridiculous and embarrassing case for the party was reported from Phagwara. Here two factions got registered FIRs against each other. As the infighting has been spilled over onto the streets.

Some of the sources in BJP said that the BJP state leadership failed to intervene to control the infighting and the Congress party is taking its advantage.

The BJP state chief Vijay Sampla told that committee will be looking into the incidents of infighting and refused to say anything more about this.
