The Punjab politics has attracted the Punjabi migrant to the State back. This is the time of Punjab assembly elections and the NRIs wants to contribute to make sure that their party wins.
More than 500 MRIs from New Zealand , Canada and Australia reached in Punjab . A group of around 400 NRIs from Chicago have came in Punjab to support Congress Party. Also hundreds of NRI supporters of the SAD are in the field.
The maximum number of the NRIs has arrived from Canada and nearly 75% of them are supporting AAP. The failure of all the traditional parties to effect a change explains the support to AAP from abroad.
Tomorrow the AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal is expected to hold an interaction with NRIs in Majitha .
All these NRIs have been spread out, campaigning in different parts of the Punjab .
